>>42966836Subaru is generally a lot more prepared for stuff like this, but considering the timing before she sent out the announcements for both Gura and Kobo, I had a feeling this would end up happening.
I just hoped that it could reach 100k before the inevitable collapse, but Susan ruined that with the Z.
Noel's section had an impromptu counterattack from Noel where she accused Subaru of punching her in Discord DMs when it was just the usual energetic greeting, resulting in a lot of time spent to screenshot that interaction and construct a narrative halfway through which resulted in Subaru and Noel going to jail together (which would normally have ended the stream right there but she still had a lot of guests so she had to get out and do her job, ruining the "climax" of that particular storyline).
Pekora's section was also weird because Kanata got shoved into it when half of Pekora's crimes were her Hogwarts shenanigans which Kanata had nothing to do with, so it split attention away from the highlight star of the event.
EN/ID naturally stuttered a lot thanks to having to translate between languages a lot, and Ina... I didn't really think Ina needed to be there, it felt forced compared to most of the others. A made up story and cookie "bribing"? Bit weird, but I guess maybe the result was planned to be "Inacent" anyway..
I was really impressed with Gura's improv, it had all the right aspects and questions and gave a lot of material for Subaru to work with, but Bae only managed to translate like half of it, and it's potential storyline effect was reduced to a mere 10% of it's full power. Unfortunate.
Kobo was one of the weirdest, because they introduced her as a literal child, highlighted the fact that the host club actually let her in (Kiara supported this in chat), so I naturally expected the "parent" to come in and take responsibility, but they actually jailed her (mostly through SEA spamming Guilty without any sense of context), which ended up with a weird result, and Kobo having to improvise a sudden "angry rant" which unfortunately lost all impact because she couldn't swear in Indonesian I assume (would've been funny for clips though).
All in all it could have been handled a lot better with slightly more proper planning, quite a departure from the last Oozora Police segment.
