Knew plenty of Asian guys in their mid-20s who'd escaped for work or school but couldn't drive or cook or know how to set appointments or anything over the phone yet, because their parents would insist on doing all of that shit for them.
Even if she seems to be on generally good terms with them, a family that's actively watching hours and hours or streams and her social media and commenting/nagging about it is likely pretty high on the helicopter scale.
