More clip numbers.
I did some analysis on my own clipping data to see if it aligns with Hololive's Report, and here are some numbers. Note that they have internal data supposedly from youtube directly, and one of the main differences is that they are looking at all vtuber clipping channels, while I just look at Hololive and Nijisanji. They filter the top 200 by total views, while I can filter out any videos that don't directly source.
Of my own top 200, 123(61.5%) are HL clippers (over 90% views for HL), 64(32%) are NJ clippers (over 90% views for NJ), and 13(6.5%) are between.
Comparing it to Cover's numbers of 121 HL, 41 NJ, 23 Mixed, 15 Other; I think they either have a different definition of a clipper, have incomplete data, my own error, or some other difference in methodology.
Total Views for this sample are 8.73B HL and 3.78B NJ for 'company dedicated', and 1.22B Mixed as 650M HL and 576M NJ. I would also do a comparison between subscribers, but I don't track clipper subscribers.
This is comparing to Cover's numbers of 6.9B HL and 2.6B NJ. I will say I am possibly overcounting here, since my definition is just sourcing.
I'd look at it further but ran out of time.
