to me it simply felt quite strong but i am not saying it is wrong.
i must admit i personally did not really expect that admirals of other navies would feel that strongly about a completly different navy.
however as for culture shock, i have to say that in our navy, there have always been woman too, so that aspect would definitly not be new for you or anyone.
