Nikkes are policewomen, pop stars, engineers, maids, CIA, underground mob bosses, all kinds of things. Exia isn't a combat nikke in general, that's an outfit she wears during a specific event to go after a bad guy at a casino (which is mostly run by other nikkes as the waitresses and attendants), but when she does assist you it's done over the radio as a hacker (she gets her brains blown out by the CIA nikkes early on but she's fine through some shenanigans)
