I never understood this, I don't think vtubers have to actually be into each other that way for it to be a "real" ship. Shipping is something done for fun and is left up to the viewer's imagination and the vtubers themselves don't have to actually be gay or real brothers or whatever. If that were the case we wouldn't have ships of popular shonen anime characters. Also I'm sure majority of what Sonny and Alban do isn't even "pandering" they just seem to be comfortable enough around each other to make those kinds of jokes. It just so happens that the audience likes it, but that's just how I see it. I think this board kind of mindbroke people into using the word "pandering" too much. People still even use it on Vox of all people when the word they're looking for is "catering".
