I looked a little into it. What a bunch of nothing this drama is.
The autistic mod leaked some info that this Bao has a boyfriend. She could've played it smart and ignore it and this whole thing could've been forgotten. At most this could've just ended as a rumor for /vt/ to make rrats off of.
But instead she sperged out, sent her incel fans to attack this mod and now she's deleting the tweets. But the Streisand effect is a thing and in the process of doing all this, she basically confirmed that she has a boyfriend.
Considering how many tweets she had, you'd think she would now how to operate in social media space.
It all started around the time she decided to take a pause on uni and go full time streaming.
After being a good and consistent streamer, right after a subathon for going full time she went on vacation for 3 weeks on the west coast. Come back and another subathon. Follow that up with a ton of sponsored streams. I remember at one point I looked at her vods, and 6 of the last 9 streams had #ad in the title. Follow that all up with another vacation. Add on sleeping on stream for easy content (was even considered even more egregious then since these big gay uncapped subathons hadn't happened yet). THEN take all of THAT and add onto it a whole twitter drama where she sent her rabid fanbase after a mod who revealed she had a boyfriend. Come to find out her mod was actually autistic. They made up and she apologized on twitter, but still it was a shit show. And after? She still said retarded takes on Twitter for WEEKS if not a couple MONTHS after that.
All of this happened back-to-back and on top of each other right when she started going full time, and it reeked of trying to milk easy money and not giving a shit about ripping off your audience. Thankfully she's calmed down in the past couple months it seems and is hopefully bringing herself out of this tailspin, but holy fuck was it a shitshow with her for awhile.
