You'll see a psychiatrist only to get your initial diagnoses and after that never again. Therapists who work with public insurance are trained mostly to treat normalfags and normalfag issues, and in most of the country, not a single one of them is qualified to work with CPTSD or childhood attachment issues in general.
On top of that, they are miserably overtaxed and lacking in resources.
As a patient, they just mostly want you out of the fucking door as quickly as possible, and any actual psychoeducation or treatment is put entirely on your own shoulders. You'll gather an entire bookshelf of material on how to treat yourself, and the supposed professionals will know almost nothing of it. The only value they pose is that they can write statements for the social services, which gets you disabilitybux.
