EoPs got fascinated by things like the band-aids story or Miko using her nigger-word pass, and one the main reasons it happened is because of the incongruity with *already existing expectations* of 'funny anime girls' from the broader japanese media adjacent culture before vtubers.
There is no novelty to 'transgression' if there is nothing to transgress against in the first place. It doesn't stand on it's own; there needs to be a genuine 'base-rate' for it to relate too in the first place.
