Why did it trigger /vt/ so badly?
Because it obviously hit very close to home. The people upset by that are the same people indulging in escapism to an unhealthy degree and use vtubing as a way to distract themselves from their own problems and shortcomings.
If you really get angry over this kind of shit you need to take a step back, evaluate your life and try to improve yourself.
