one thing that I do think it's starting to take shape recently is that a lot of groups and companies seem to be growing increasingly bitter towards Hololive, specially the [walled garden] approach, simply because they're taking the biggest piece of the pie and keeping it to themselves. a win for Hololive is not a win for the wider vtuber scene, it's only for them, because their success only applies to them and the girls have structured things so it works that way. the insane propping up and support unrelated to their popularity other chubas like karubi have been getting feels like a direct response to IF THE HOLOS DON'T WANT TO SHARE, THEN WE WILL MAKE OUR OWN HOLOS, as if they're desperate for someone, anyone, to be on part with the holos, even when the gap continues to grow increasingly big by the day. earlier today there was some talk about how it's unhealthy for HoloEN to be the only actually popular vtuber group in the west, but the same can be said about Hololive JP beacuse no one is even close to the relevance they have currently, a growth and popularity that they only share among themselves, holos prop other holos up, that's how it goes, they support their sisters and no one else (which is good) but I think it's starting to piss off a lot of people from outside of Hololive.
