The real issue is that moving away from streaming in favor of lives and sponsorships creates an insular community with little growth or new viewers. streams and memes are how you get new viewers into hololive, just spamming concerts might please some fans but is ultimately a dead end as old fans phase out with no fresh viewers to replace them. If hololive debuted a chuuba who literally only did lives, they would be nowhere near as popular as a chuuba who mostly streamed and rarely did lives.
