every inning, one of the teams attacks and one defends! the attacking team uses a bat to hit the ball preferably in a way the opposite team takes time to catch it! if the opposite team grabs the ball before it bounces its an out!
otherwise if a player holding the ball touches a player of the attacking team without them being on a base, its an out!
teams change roles every 3 outs, 9 times!
if a player fails to hit the ball thats a strike! 3 strikes are an out!
if the pitcher fails to throw the ball in a way the batter could hit it, its a ball! 3 balls are a free base!
