Isn't it normal for people to start losing goodwill for a vtuber when they take a large amount of time off with barely any communication? I'm having issues understanding why this is controversial or strange. I would probably say this topic is bullshit if it hasn't been proven time and time again that SOME of the HoloEN girls take plenty of time off without coming back to have a steady streaming schedule. Others can hardly do the bare minimum of even communicating.
This is probably less of a big deal if you're some type of indie streamer, but when you're part of such a large company I think it helps keeps fans satiated when you're communicating regularly. Like

There were no oddly written tweets or some fucking random shill tweets with nothing else going on with her account, it was all staying in contact with other Hololive members and the fans themselves.
The reason why the comparison between the two companies is even happening is probably because NijiEN fucking streams significantly more. That's all it is. Fans don't give a fuck or get emotional if they take a break because the streamers themselves earned that trust inherently by simply doing their jobs. That's why it even got brought up in the first place. I don't think you can use the excuse that the HoloEN girls are working on background projects and that's why they're not streaming, because people like Kiara and Mori ALWAYS have shit going on and they still take the time to stream. It only takes a few people in the group barely doing shit to make the whole branch look bad.
I don't even know why I typed this gay ass shit out, I have groceries to buy.
