>>52971248Have done printer tech support for enough people in my life, it's usually a case of
>I tried to print and it said "out of color ink" but my document is "only" black>>Did you put ink in it?>No, I figured there'd be some way to tell it to do it anyway>>My time is worth more than an ink cartridge, go to the store and buy the ink it wantsPrinters are shitty like razors are shitty, the bottom of the barrel exists to siphon money from you, the top range is hundreds of dollars, and the middle has a painful upkeep cost.
But they usually work fine if you put money in the machine.
>>52971369I do, and I also believe her in this case. But my money is on, as above, on not her not giving the money to the printer companies before trying to do something important with it.
>>52971425>then not use it for another yearThe worst ones are the newer cheap models with ink expiration dates. Not sure if hers is like that, or if EU has protections that kind of exploitation. Then that yearly print run costs $100.
I strongly believe anything less than 50 pages is "go to kinkos / the libraries / the office" territory, where the cost per page is fucked for doing it at home.
Non-canonical wawa as penance for this wall of text dissertation on printing economics in the wawa bread.
