For instance, the only money Vshojo as an "agency" makes iirc is from merchandise and sponsorships. Vshojo also doesn't own anything, it all belongs to the girls individually, so if any of them were to split, they'd take all their assets with them, models, art, etc. However their merch does very well, as do their sponsorships, so it's worked out very well for everyone involved. The whole thin at AX over the past couple days as shown how insanely fast their merch moves and how much people flip their shit for the company.
