He's specialized in his field of herbs and alchemy.
He's pretty resourceful and clever with how he bartered and had the initiative to offer to make the bomb. He has a level of forethought, given that he was staching away money.
He's straightforward and realistic with anything that isn't part of his brainwashing. He thought his father was going crazy when he was describing impossible things, and he was very derisive towards her mother being on Footbook, being afraid that she is being taken advantage of. Clearly on some level he has seen his parents as people who need help for a while, which was a massive motivator for him, and even more so now.
And related to that, he is extremely caring in a pragmatic way. Naive though it was, his immediate action to put the weird unworldly freaks out of their suffering, shows that he has a very powerful impulse to help. Out of the PCs in this group, he will most likely do the most selfless things in order to help others.
He's quick on his feet, as shown by him setting the bomb fast and then making the deal once he knew he's fucked.
