I wipe mine with baby wipes quite regularly so they are clean most of the time, but every year or two I detach all the key caps on my mechanical keyboard and brush them individually with a soapy old toothbrush. There's probably an easier method but I like doing this way anyway. Typing a spotless keyboard afterwards feels weirdly pleasant.
