>I always just assumed I was missing the appeal since I didn't have a robot fetishSimilar situation here, I thought "man, I've always like cyborgs and stuff, but these androids ain't doing it for me", It did lead me to consider which elements I did and didn't like about those tho, with me realizing that while I'm all about robots, replicas or mass-produced robots take all the fun out of it for me, it's like they're no longer an individual. Similarly I started being put off by the short-circuiting stuff since once I realized it practically translated to "dying" for a flesh-person, the scenarios of "lusty robot prostitute who fucks you so hard she dies from it" isn't really all that appealing in the end.
