You dont see her interact with irys a lot. When they do, her attitude is very telling (see when she playfully referred to her as "arse", or the Gartic collab where gura called her drawings "caveman" or the minecraft impromptu where she hunted irys and kronii). Also recall how she scheduled a member karaoke (the short one with all the "zoomer breakup songs" to paraphrase her) right before IRyS' debut. Anons here in /vt/ were jokingly saying that gura was reminding everyone who was the real singer, which might actually have a grain of truth to it.
Now that we know she has cover recordings just laying around (And who knows how many other songs are available) its clear that gura behind the scenes has the desire to make her own covers and originals at a fast pace, like mori does.
But for some reason, a combination of management wanting things a certain way (like trying to enforce Council lore and vsingers being vsingers), her own shyness and wallflower personality, and other unseen factors (like health problems) all collide to stop gura from doing as she pleases.
and the only thing she can do is keep away from IryS as much as she can. I wont go so far as to say she wishes she was the vsinger instead though
If gura is here, then I hope you go beyond your limits gura, your talent absolutely mustn't go to waste
