I think it has to do with the tariff shit, Japan and the US still haven't struck a deal, so they're keeping it to simple, easy to produce merch, otherwise it would cost a lot more to ship.
Hololive has this problem right now where you pay for duties and shipping, so their merch is like double the price now.
