The closest comparison I can make to Mori's meme review stream is an episode of Facial Abuse. They do all kinds of fucked up shit to the girls but you know it's agreed to beforehand, even if the girl obviously doesn't like it. But every once in a while, Facial Abuse will end the video slightly after they say "cut". You see the guy drop kayfabe and say "pretty intense, huh?" to the girl. The only reason they ever show this part is if the girl says something like "I am never fucking doing that again." Because somehow that moment of seeing them unguarded, not performing, watching them cope and rationalize what they just did, is more degrading than any over the top insult the director could say while they're "in character." Watching Calli suffer was one thing, but then seeing her caught on a hot mic trying to play nice and explain her nerves, tell Coco she had a good time... that was fucking back-breaking. That took it from 11/10 cringe to 100/10 in seconds. People will say "cringekino" whenever something moderately awkward happens but that was cringe kino in the truest sense. The cinema of cringe.
