My way of comforting myself while doing the work is by either listening to something that will make sure that my mind will pay attention to while I do a mindless job, or I talk to myself. Talking to myself outloud really helps me desu, I can just talk about absolutely anything, at any pace, and I feel a bit better since I get to let out some stress from it, even if I’m not ranting. Though I usually try to keep it at a roughly positive topic, or topic of interest.
