Maybe at first she was "just ill". Maybe it was a cold, a sore throat, some coughing. Nothing serious but something that would prevent her from streaming. Cover stopped announcing if their talent caught covid a while ago so there would be no statement about it. So she takes a small break to recover, but the cough doesn't go away, she doesn't get better.
Long covid doesn't get talked about enough for how serious the condition might be. If the symptoms ramp up, what started as a fever can turn into something that renders her incapable of even tweeting herself. Muscle pain, extreme drowsiness, shortness of breath after standing up, brain fog. She could be completely bedridden and relying on someone else to feed and take care of her.
And the symptoms can continue for months. There is no quick fix. It could be a long and tedious healing process until she's well enough to perform again.
