If it’s degrading like cancer or another disease the diagnosis would be announced early. Obviously it would be shocking but at least everyone gets a chance to say goodbye and enjoy the last moments to the fullest. There would be a period of collabs with a bittersweet atmosphere followed by an abrupt cease of streaming activities when the condition worsens to the point where nothing can be done.
If it’s sudden (suicide, accident, murder), it would be an immense shock and particularly in the case of suicide or murder there would be a lot of questions asked regarding health and safety, investigations which would result in complete loss of public trust, a massive wave of graduations and ultimately the entire company collapsing.
Either way the announcement of the holo’s death when it happens would come with an indefinite suspension of activities company-wide, an announcement stream from the genmates where all of them are bawling their eyes out and maybe 2 or 3 graduations from those who just can’t keep going (more if it’s proven that cover was at fault)
I once had a dream (more of a nightmare) that there was a bomb attack in the Tokyo subways with hundreds dead and one of them was Korone
