as for the scale=1200:-1, which i said a while ago, i probably should've have specified that it was for 1920x1080 (or higher I guess now she's goosing) streams to to be scaled to 1200 width with the same aspect ratio. Your 1200:-1 is just your X being set to 1200 and your Y being kept in the same aspect, as opposed to you manually working out that a 16:9 video at that size would be 1200x675
If you used scale=1200:-1 on a shorts stream it would be scaling them up as they're 1080x1920
Changing it to scale=-1:1080 for shorts streams would work, but it wouldn't scale down a 1920x1080 stream as that's already at 1080 height. There's probably some way to just scale via percentage so you don't have to swap shit around, i've just never looked. also this is all ffmpeg commands, if you're using vegas pro it may be easier for you
