Just yesterday, I came across two western indies on Twitter, announcing their own orc vtuber, next to a lion aswell. What struck me was how straight-up masculine both of their designs were, to the point where I would easily believe it if they were intended to be used for a gay comic, western or not. Been thinking of setting up a Vtuber type deal similar to that, and adding crossover appeal for both western (and hopefully asian) gays and furries. However, this would require buying a non-shit webcam for face tracking and internet faster than 1.5 Mbps. Ideas™ will only get you so far.
