>>100529171It's a long story, but the "tl;dr" is that Nijisanji's "happy family" was a complete sham. The people and staff are vindictive and abusive, and after a final "fuck you," Selen attempted suicide and thankfully failed. Then she was held hostage for a month or so, and when she came back she was terminated with a nasty letter trying to ruin whatever future career she might have. The retards also self reported that they completely ignored Selen's harassment reports and hounded her emergency contact while she was in the hospital to "correct the tweets" that said management privated the video.
The internet hated that and called it bullshit and instead watched Doki's stream, where she said her side and how she just wanted to leave and move on. Then around a week or so later she scheduled a Neopets stream for the first time and Nijisanji released a disgusting hit piece at the exact same time she went live. They even delayed it to match her because she delayed her stream to fix her setup. It was a deeply disturbing video where Elira, Vox, and Ike painted her as a terrible person who hurt their poor little nijisanji hearts and thus deserved everything that happened and more. Staff, the other members, and management was blameless! Meanwhile, Doki's stream had someone telling her about the video and she broke down into a mess, constantly repeating words and trying to keep playing Neopets until her lawyer contacted her and she ended the stream.
Then Nijisanji. sub counts and viewership completely collapsed. Many of them lost years worth of subscriber progress in a matter of weeks. The famous "black stream" also ended up self reporting who some of her abusers might have been, and also leaked that the management completely ghosted her and might have singled her out. Since everything was dying, they then tried desperately to organize fans and talent to defame and discredit Doki, trying to ruin her career. THAT backfired too and Doki's story got so big it even leaked into the normiesphere and now everybody not in Japan hates Nijisanji, and they lost sponsors (who picked up Doki instead.)
A year later, Doki's done a live concert, has her own PC case, a plushie, a fucking nendoroid (with talks about getting another), and gamersupps is her personal merch distributor. She's doing very well right now, though it seems she's blacklisted from interacting with Hololive girls for what it's worth. (The boys are fine apparently and work with her often. TSB even streamed with her on alts when she had just come back to help her get back into things, and Axel in particular even yelled at the japanese sisters attacking her on stream in Japanese, making his stance clear.)
In Pomu's case she also had the harassment and abuse, but primarily from the staff side as she was on good terms with the talents.
However, she was also constantly broken down by management to the point where when a record label specifically reached out to work with her and get her a record deal, Nijisanji turned it down. Pomu's heart broke for the last time and she turned in her resignation. On top of that, a while later Nijisanji was approached for Pomu to get to work with Metal Gear to produce a music video, but they denied it without even telling her. She allegedly only learned about this nearly a year after the fact when meeting with some holo girls talking about it. (Mori got the part to sing it instead.)
Mint has stated outright that due to her experiences at Nijisanji, she never wants to work for another japanese company again.
Pomu's graduation was almost perfectly timed. She graduated while Selen was suspended, but allegedly had no knowledge of what had happened. The graduation was relatively normal, though she kept streaming for like 12 hours since she didn't want it to end.
After graduation, notPomu was extremely silent and confused about everything going down with Selen's termination, and only decided to start streaming again as Mint when Matara got her model rerigged and forced her to do a podcast with her. She still went a few months without contact with Dokibird, but at some point she got the courage to follow her, which one of Doki's staff noticed and told Doki, who followed her back, and then after nothing happened her staff member just shot Mint an email saying, "Hey do you wanna talk with Doki?" and set up a meeting. The two girls cried and made up due to being awkward dorks and then several months later they starred in their own live 3D concert in Atlanta, which went off extremely well.
They are now fucking like rabbits.
