I'm embarrassed to admit this, but my old man was one of Rush's first dittocammers, and since I tried to emulate him - like all sons who love their fathers do - I may or may not have been arguing online about political topics... since I was twelve...But you're right, I was a naive teenager/20-something back then and so I had the mindset of a typical Muh Classical Liberal LARPer. 2020 was just what caused me to realize that liberalism itself was the fundamental problem, not the solution.
Let me put it this way: I watched Sargon religiously starting in 2016, and I'm now a bronze-tier TLE subscriber. My journey tracks very closely with his. Although let's just say I've gone a bit farther than he has, and a lot more quickly.
