>>4210171COVER and Nijisanji are engaged in a massive shadow war over control of the vtuber market. Nijisanji agents infiltrated the COVER management to ruin the company from within, from the Mel harassment incident, the Great Video Game Purge, to manipulating Nene into doxxing Aloe and then paying for trolls and bots, coordinating alongside their own fanbase, to constantly harass Aloe until she quit. These incidents made COVER nearly go under from all the bad publicity but the reveal of holoEN counteracted this and took the pressure off. With the rising popularity of holoEN and the flood of EOP money into Hololive, Nijisanji engaged 'Operation: Zhang Offensive' by paying for viewbots originating from Taiwan to flood Haachamas YouTube statistics page so that she would mention Taiwan during her statistic review stream, while also making sure said stream was being re-streamed on Billibilli. They also made sure this applied to Coco as well, as she was one of the girls in Hololive who consistently brought in high amounts of superchat money. On top of this, both Haachama and Coco were targeted because they were gateway of EOP's, freshly brought into Hololive by holoEN, into the main JP branch because they knew english and had already pandered to EOPs prior. The ensuing invasion of Zhang spam bots and chinese nationalists threw Hololive into chaos, forcing COVER to suspend two of their high profile characters for over a month, close the holoCN branch and effectively neutering COVER's ability to partner with any chinese company for gacha games, tournaments, song collabs or any other product/service. They also lost faith, not only with the new EOP audience, but also their own home audience because COVER was seen as bowing down to China, a country both Nips and EOPs hate with a passion. The effects of this Zhang offensive would last for months as spam bots and more paid agents tried to get more Hololive girls into saying political or sensitive subjects to try and drag them down further. Although the effects have mostly subsided by now, Hololive has been permanently damaged by losing chinese company sponsorships and money, also scarring Coco for life as seen by her breakdown she had on stream from all the spam bots. Then after the ‘Zhang Offensive’, COVER announced the Hololive Alternative project to try and recoup their losses from the chinese market. Not wanting to allow this to occur, they tried to initiate a similar offensive as to Zhang offensive, such as stirring up drama that caused that one artist to leave the Hololive Alt manga and other various tactics like blowing up certain dramas like the janitor incident or the Marine/Miko BL manga drama. These incidents were never as successful, however, as the EOP presence had increased significantly and allowed Hololive to buoy itself and remain in place while incurring minor losses. Then we currently have the Gura rigger incident, where Nijisanji made sure to pay off the rigger in order to sabotage Hololives highest subbed account, but more information is needed to conclude this. Finally Nijisanji then launched their own EN branch to draw away EOPs into nijisanji with moderate success while also hoping to draw in any talent away from COVER to hinder their future gains. Although groups such as Vshojo, VOMS or Tsunderia exist, they don't nearly have the amount of success as Nijisanji or COVER due to oversaturation, snatching high value talents and tribal fagging, all planned in one of the few times Niji and COVER worked together to maintain hegemony in the market.
