>>44314947I'd recommend, instead, spending 10 minutes a day learning to write the kana like you're a little kid learning the latin alphabet for the first time. Everyday write them out, start with hiragana a i u e o until you have them memorized, then write those out and do the same with ka ki ku ke ko etc. Then do the same with the katakana. You don't have to fuck with the diphthongs and dakuten because once you've gotten the basic kana down you can just read the modifiers. Apps are ok for practicing recognition but it'll click better in your brain if you get a pen and paper involved. Once you get to the kanji you'll have decide if you want to go brute force rote memorization in grade level order or go with RTK.
