A very different but similar game. See the attached for the games themes and moods from the HtV1e core book. Gothic-punk isn't how New World of Darkness would describe itself though, it's more Modern Gothic. So it's set in the present day, and has a bigger focus on dark gothic tone and mood, and the edgey punk stuff isn't really a thing by default. The setting is also a lot less defined and is more tool boxy, so no metaplot.
