Every so often I stumble onto /vt/ and see these incredible posts where people very confidently lay out these elaborate theories about the industry and the people in it that are just... completely arbitary and fake and not how the world works.
The people pushing theories in the first place are just straight up sociopaths. They want to ruin the lives of the people they enjoy just to prove that they have power. Even for a chan board, your mind palaces are so warped that a normal person can't even begin to process it.
You live in a completely fictional version of the industry. Chan boards want to feel they have expert knowledge on subjects but the only things /vt/ has that other fans don't is more doxxing and mean spirited fanfics.
At least some 4chan boards can claim to have some level of expertise on the hobby underneath the hateful bullshit. But /vt/ doesn't understand or respect VTuber culture. Respect for privacy is a core component to some extent of nearly every other fan community in the industry.
Even for a chan board, it's shocking how dedicated you are to creating personal distress and discomfort for the people involved in the industry. But you think you're cultured insiders for invading people's privacy, or just straight up making shit up. The personal lives of these talents aren't tokens of your fandom knowledge. Posting YouTube videos that VTubers made when they were literally 12 isn't cute. And neither is speculating on people's personal relationships.
It's awesome. You're so far from the realm of talking to women and understanding relationships that you think that every vaguely attractive or popular girl is in a relationship.
There's also the fact that people get are really mad when a VTuber isn't a pure Japan maiden. Which is just wholesale imported from Japanese otaku culture without any thought given to the matter.
You also love fake taste hierarchies. The only people in this fandom who say shit like "I watch Nijisanji because Hololive is too mainstream". Or hate VShojo because they embody the part of western anime culture that's not constantly ashamed of itself for being weeby and liking trashy stuff, and resent Nyanners because she distanced herself from child porn jokes, basically the nucleus of it.
Even for 4chan, this is a place filled with hateful miserable people. You can't stand the idea that VTubers generally get along with each other and try to avoid unnecessary conflict, so you completely fabricate drama and conflict in hopes of getting a rise.
/vt/ makes the VTuber community a worse place to be, and offers nothing of value.
