Japanese dubs fucking suck. The mixing is always terrible and makes everything sound stiff, it's always the same VA no matter what you're playing or watching and they just recite their fucking lines without any regard for context or character, it's im-fucking-possible to get absorbed by a movie because suddenly I'm watching the voice of Solid motherfucking Snake coming out the friendly mailman.
With the sole exception of live action Japanese movies (for obvious reasons) and ridiculous anime shit I will always pick the English dub over Japanese even if it's the original.
