Probably just logically it makes sense: sugar is primary fuel, ice cream has lots of liquid and okay protein from the dairy, and it's very cold. The coldness probably helps blood vessels contract like with a cold compress, while the sugar and water help replenish missing macros. Kinda like a fixer-upper for the majority causes of headaches. What it can't ever fix is a sleep deprivation headache or migraine. Hope your head feels better soon! =w=
