It's possible she just really loves spending money on skebs of her friends. But I'm more inclined to believe that by commissioning quality art of her with other vtubers she forces other vtubers hands so they acknowledge her through RTs rather than twitter replies or private DMs. It grows her visibility. I wouldn't have an uncharitable interpretation if she hadn't spent a year preparing to become a vtuber and then settled on a design that's just Silver but red instead of blue, in addition to having similar mannerisms and intonation to Silver.
