>>32038894Halfway through the next chapter of Brown Black and Blue. It's almost to it's conclusion. I'd give it two chapters before the main event.
I'm going to try to make a more surrealist work if I can manage it. I've had this idea in my head for a long time that's almost like a dream sequence but I haven't been able to execute properly. I'm still working out the kinks.
I'm also starting to get some ideas for a new story like Building Block Doll. Need to turn it over in my mind a bit more before I start it though.
> How much planning do you do before starting a writing project? Do you just jump into it and write off of an idea or do you plan an outline first?Inspiration just slaps me across the face and I run with it. Building Block Doll was a spur of the moment chapter and I only began planning it properly around 10 chapters through.
Normally I don't develop a proper outline until 2-3 chapters down. I need to have a little time to test the ideas I have and get some good character work started. I often plan my stories in terms of character arcs rather than event 1 leads to event 2.
