i dont want to essay like this but let me explain something for you.
yes, guro is arousing, but not in a sexual way. arousal includes fear, excitement, etc. it's neurologically similar to sexual arousal, it has a lot of overlap between neurotransmitters, and there's an entire psychological phenomenon because of it, misattribution of arousal, where someone might not be able to differential whether they are sexually aroused or aroused because of fear when both stimuli are present at the same time. this is the reason people go on dates to see horror movies, or go on rollercoasters, because it becomes easier for the brain to interpret the feeling as being sexual arousal and be more likely to pursue a relationship. guro is like a horror movie, it is thematically and visually arousing, in a similar way to a horror movie, but it is not the same sexual kind of arousal. that being said, it can be misinterpreted as such and people could get conditioned into being sexually aroused by guro but at that point they'd be looking more for ero guro content than the purely aesthetic guro. there's also something with how it's cute and anime girls are cute, how you sort of feel cuteness aggression over things. it's a complicated feeling to explain for those who understand it but it's psychologically sound to like guro nonsexually. also, it's a fucking picture, who the hell even cares, i could draw a picture of shit on the floor in a context that isn't sexual but do such in a way that it can be admired and enjoyed artistically.
TLDR guro like horror movie scary exciting good NO SEX
