>>77305833I wasn't around before 2023 but I've notice with some v-tubers the ones they mention are other v-tubers that are known to outreach a lot to indies/corpo. as opposite to ones that keep to themselves. People from Nux, DN and other v-tubers (they used the term "number friends") talk about many of the indies just using bigger v-tubers to platform their own channel rather than an form a friendship, then cutting connection shortly after.
It's a shame Gura doesn't get shouted out as much but at least those she connects with seems to genuinely care about her. Fauna and Kiara saw behind the Gura curtain and did not turn away. Shion gets along and talks with Gura despite the language barrier. Mumei and Ame send Gura funny clips, etc. Gura doesn't have the street smart someone like Kiara or Kroni has and would end up worst from a bad actor so maybe it's for the best?
