I think they've become better at communicating it over time, even on twitter they went from "secret homework" to giving us more detail like saying they were recording or finished dance lessons and such. Of course, it helps they can talk about stuff in more detail now since they've made their 3D debut. But I agree, seeing it explicitly on the schedule is nice.
