Mechanic: Without enough of this, your happiness will start draining.
>CommodityFlavor text: Things your population can use to make their lives a little better.
Mechanic: Primary fodder for either production, or trade. No consequence on happiness.
>LuxuryFlavor text: Shiny or pretty shit. No logical reason for your population to want it, but humans are weird.
Mechanic: Sufficient amounts of this will increase happiness by just having it in storage.
