I was only going to translate like one post just to highlight the difference between 2chan (who actually understood the song) and 5ch (who thinks Calliope is browsing their thread and made a diss track about them) to try restore some faith in Japanese fans for you guys, but I ended up translating the whole thing.
>The lyrics were probably about those people preparing to be vtubers who say stuff like "Calliope is only popular because she is part of a company", like she didn't do any work on her own. The entire track seems like a diss track to provoke those sorts of people.
>I've only watched translated clips, but she's too cute.
>When I was watching her collab with Gura-chan, she was struggling to unmute Gura-chan and get the audio fixed and when the game started said "Okay, how do I move in this game?" I really love that kind of clumsy ponkotsu side of her.
>Wait, Dark Souls permissions, really...?
>>The lyrics were probably about those people preparing to be vtubers
>I've seen a lot of people saying that it was really refreshing to see someone finally take a swipe at what they call "Vtwitters". It was really interesting to look at the controversy, watching people argue about it was fun.
>In hip-hop there's a style called 'dissing' where you put other crappy rappers in their place, so I guess that's what she was emulating.
>>put other crappy rappers in their place
>This was really more like "Why don't you guys start working on something instead of just yapping?" They can't say "Oh, Calliope only got popular because of the big agency she's in", because she makes it clear in the song that she went through all sorts of trouble herself. She also says "Do you think 1 million deadbeats hit that subscribe for satire?". I'm sure she must've seen a lot of these sorts of people after debuting.
>It's ironic, since you guys are just talking instead of doing as well (though it's probably impossible for you all anyways)
>Either way you look at it, it sure whipped up a shitstorm, huh? That feels like the true essence of rap.
