This place has the benefit of having a larger than average portion of oldfags so you get some quality threads and the benefit of people in the industry actually giving their 2 cents here. The abnormal amount of SEA is annoying but still not as bad as pajeets on /v/ and euros on /pol/
If you want an example of a an actually trashboard look at /tv/, where every single thread devolves into the kind of racism that would make a white supremacist feel awkward.
