>Nonindigenous Occurrences: In Florida, this species has been observed and is established at numerous locations along the Atlantic coast from Jacksonville down to Key West and in the Gulf of Mexico as far west as Destin (since 1994 [REEF 2008]). Starck (1968) reported the species was taken by aquarium collectors along the east coast of Florida between Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach.
