>>26907905Some quick notes without meddling too much, I can do a proper "This is how I would do it" redline/redraw later if you want.
>Say no to nose bridges! (unless it's an extreme angle where it starts covering the eye) >And nostrils too generally! Depending on the stylization, the dot/dash/triangle might feel unnatural but its anime.
>Soften and rounded the face for females>Nia's ears (and cats) are usually rounderI get you're going for the kitsune vibe but if you want recognition of the charecters then you need certain features to be on model.
>No lip lines!Well, usually, if you want makeup add it in the colouring. You can imply it with a heftier and darker middle line and a tiny lower lip line is a feature in older anime so it's also an acceptable compromise.
Those are the things that made it feel western.
Otherwise I'd move the leg back for some action in a standing pose. I'd probably myself scrap the whole lower section and draw her in a lounging position to show off the legs especially since they have some proportion and perspective issues anyways. The idea of a smoke demon is cool but if probably have it on the side of the pipe so it's easier to draw "coming" from the smoke. I didn't touch it because I wasn't sure what you were going for and it wasn't important right now.
It's a cool idea anon, don't scrap it. You'll get a lot better at art a lot faster by finishing your work despite mistakes/frustration and just focusing on doing better next time by trying to not repeat them.
Also you probably downscaled it but if you didn't, work in a higher resolution. Really helps with detailing.
