The date had nothing to do with any kind of try out for anything. Giving it an end date means they can bring it back for "holiday specials" and shit as they put it. Was largely a reason to help mint get into doing something again since she was so burnt from Niji that Mata wanted to give her things to do as a vtuber again since she was ready to be done with it.
