I think everybody has their biases. Those who played DKC1 first say it's the best of the three. I think it's the nostalgia factor because it was really a breakthrough when it appeared.
I played DKC2 first so I think it's the best. But I have played DKC1, and to me, when compared to DKC2, the latter wins clearly. That's just how I feel.
I don't think I've ever heard anybody say DKC3 was the best though. It's kinda forgotten. It's OK... but it doesn't feel as exciting as DKC2 to me.
