That makes me appreciate GIgi's autistic adherence to the bit even more, no matter how awful it may be, to see how far you can stretch it, in order to make it loop back to being funny again. This "joke stamina" is what I think made people love Norm Macdonald so much. He didn't give a shit whether the audience thought what he said was funny or not, sometimes he even enjoyed that "audience confusion/dislike" more than adoration from cheap&easy jokes. Norm was obviously a comedic force of nature and a peerless legend so I hesitate to invoke his name here, but Gigi is following the same school of comedy which is interesting to witness, and extremely rare nowadays.
Also - EVEN IF you think this particular bit is unfunny (and I do admit I sometimes find it grating even as a diehard grem), I think Gigi is doing the completely right thing in pushing through. Keep in mind, she planned this shit out even before starting the stream. Takes balls of steels to commit to a full stream-length RP bit with barely any OOC. I respect her for that.
