Doppelganger Altventure notes~
~What are the Doppelgangers?~
The Doppelganger Mascots ended up in Elysium from a rift in space time. The problem wasn't discovered right away as people had assumed the Doppelgangers to be unique evolutions. However when the rift was sealed they became trapped in Elysium and attempts to purge them have proven difficult. Some of the Doppelganger are biologically the same as this world's variants others look similar but are not the same creature.
~Doppelganger Altventure reproduction~
Doppelganger Altventures also know as Demon king Slimes are identical to normal Altventures and when they reproduce in our world it results in a normal Altventure. This means their is no need to exterminate them unless they are over hunting in any given area. They likely will never disappear as Altventures have been observed to evolve into them since their appearance.
~How Altventures become Doppelganger Altventure~
Demon king slimes evolve from normal Altventures when the Altventure becomes trapped by themself normally in places like caves. The loneliness and desire to escape leads them to keep attacking anything around them. With no food to restore energy they faint, once awake they continue the process eventually triggering an unstable evolution which creates an explosion at the same time. If the Altventure survives the explosion it will have evolved into a Demon king slime.
~Doppelganger Altventure behavior~
Demon king slimes are way stronger then Altventures and can easily take down thing several times their size on their own. Despite this Demon king slimes despise being alone are will actually produced deafening cry's when lonely. These cry's can cause hallucinations in humans making them view the Demon king slime as a normal Altventure. Demon king slimes are exclusively meat eaters unlike normal Altventures which eat most anything. They also tend to be quite cocky as a result of their strength but will quickly apologize if they thing you are going to abandon them.
