I think if there's proper validity to microplastics studies (it's still contentious if it can really pierce the brain/blood barrier, a lot of classic grifter latching onto latest issues not helping with the dissemination of information), we're already plucked and we might as well just just keep going... If there isn't, then it's not really as big a deal as it's made out to be... We need more research into it, sadly. There's also no way to eliminate plastics entirely. everything from our computers to roads, to airplanes, etc all require plastic and oil.
